August 2017 ICML Workshop on Human in the Loop Machine Learning HITL 2017
As machine learning systems become more ubiquitous in everybody’s day-to-day life or work, society and industry is in an intermediate state between fully manual and fully automatic systems. This workshop aims to bring together people who are working on systems where machine learning is only part of the solution. Participants will exchange ideas and experiences on human in the loop machine learning.
July 2015 ICML Workshop on Machine Learning Open Source Software 2015: Open Ecosystems MLOSS'15
This workshop aims to enhance the environment by fostering collaboration with the goal of creating tools that work with one another. Far from requiring integration into a single package, we believe that this kind of interoperability can also be achieved in a collaborative manner, which is especially suited to open source software development practices.
Dec. 2013 NIPS workshop on Machine Learning Open Source Software MLOSS'13
The workshop is aimed at all machine learning researchers who wish to have their algorithms and implementations included as a part of the greater open source machine learning environment. For 2013, we focus on workflows and pipelines.
Nov. 2013 Program co-chair ACML 2013
Dec. 2010 NIPS Demonstration of a machine learning data set repository (mldata.org)
We introduce an on-going effort to build a data and benchmark repository for the machine learning community.
Dec. 2010 NIPS Workshop on New Directions in Multiple Kernel Learning
Research on Multiple Kernel Learning (MKL) has matured to the point where efficient systems can be applied out of the box to various application domains. This workshop looks beyond the standard setting and investigates new directions for MKL.
June 2010 ICML workshop on Machine Learning Open Source Software MLOSS'10
The main goal of this workshop is to move beyond a mere collection of more or less unrelated software projects and provide a common foundation to stimulate cooperation and interoperability between different projects. This workshop was supported by a PASCAL2 grant.
Sept. 2009 Open-source Software for Scientific Computation OSSC 09
The aim of OSSC 09 is to provide an international forum of exchanging the knowledge of using open-source software for scientific computation within the communities from education, academia, and industry.
Dec. 2008 NIPS Workshop on Machine Learning Open Source Software MLOSS'08
The workshop's goal is to discuss issues of interoperability and how it can be used in the context of machine learning and reproducible research. This workshop was supported by a PASCAL2 grant.
Dec. 2006 NIPS Workshop on Machine Learning Open Source Software MLOSS'06
The workshop's goal is to foster a vibrant community that provides a viable open source machine learning environment. This workshop was supported by a PASCAL grant.
Dec. 2005 Machine Learning Tools Satellite Workshop
A collaborative effort among NICTA Canberra, MPI Tübingen, Fraunhofer Berlin, Fraunhofer Darmstadt, and INSA de Rouen. This workshop was supported by a PASCAL grant.
